Couples portrait at Shorncliffe Beach
It was a truly stunning morning down at Shorncliffe Pier for Elisa and Michael’s portrait session. The sun was shining, although it was a little fresh for the 8am start. We walked all over the park. Starting at the jetty, then the trees, on the grass and then out onto the beach to finish. Having had their last photo shoot done in New York, the look and feel this time was totally different (which is of course what they were aiming for). It was super lovely to meet this couple and update their portrait collection. Couples favourite photo: on the jetty BAC Favourite photo: back to me looking at…

Beautiful afternoon portrait session at Mungarra Reserve
Family of 3 plus fur child family portrait Kshama found me when she found that perfect location for her session. The family had gone for a walk with the dog out by Mungarra Reserve in Petrie an thought, what a beautiful spot for portraits. When they got home and looked up local photographers, BAC was top of the list. This is one of our favourite locations and makes the top 12 list we have published on our website. Included in the session was her husband, daughter Anuksha and the families four-legged member, Milo. There is so much variety at Mungarra reserve, so we started at the back by the creek…

Leah & Stephen engagement portrait
Leah and Stephen were just so happy together… and why shouldn’t they be, there were engaged to be married. Leah had done some modelling work before and had the perfect spot for their portrait that just happened to be at the end of their street. The sun was just beautiful in the afternoon here as we weaved in and out of the bushes and brush creating their engagement portraits. Congratulations to you both, I wish you many happy years together.= xx

Family Portrait in the park with 4 sons
Black Family Portrait with their 4 adult kids Just because her boys are all grown up, doesn’t mean that Mum doesn’t want a family portrait, although getting adult kids together for this occasion is sometimes easier said than done. The busier everyone lives are the harder it is. But we did manage to get everyone together with only a few tweaks to the date and it was totally worth it. Janette knew exactly what she wanted for the session and had the family all looking great all wearing jeans and a combination of blue and white tops for the first half of the session while we were on the bridge…

Family Photography Brisbane – Javernig Family
Nudgee Waterhole Reserve Family Portrait I first met Dani through an organisation called Mummy’s wish. Dani was going through breast cancer and we organised to do some photos for her and her twin girls through the charity. Several years later and cancer free, Dani got back in touch with me to update their family photos and to make another film. This time a film just for the girls with the hope of playing it at their 21st birthday in years to come. It is totally from the heart, with a Mum’s hopes and dreams for her girls, her love for them all laid bare in this film to them. I…

Two German Shepherds and a couple in love – North Brisbane Studio Portraits
I was excited about this portrait from the moment I spoke to Demmy! She told me how her and Stephen were not long married but that they would love to have some photos with their fur babies, two German Shepherd called Indie and Bear. I know some people say to never work with children or animals, but I have to say that these sessions are my favourite. Not only could I not stop laughing as the big dog Bear, took a fancy to my aptly names Princess Couch but I just loved watching Demmy and Stephen play with their beautiful dogs and as they warmed to me too, played and…

A surprise for Julie – Petire Family Portrait
Mungarra Reserve Family Portrait I love surprises and this was a great one! Julie’s friend Anne contacted me wanting to organise a portrait session for her friends birthday. We meet up in the studio with Anne’s 3 boys (plus 1 girlfriend)… all grown up now and organised it all. On the day, Julie thought they were going for a nice afternoon picnic but then I appeared with my camera to update the family photo album for them. And what a beautiful album we put together too. It was a fun shoot out at Petrie’s Mungarra Reserve, a spot that some friends put me onto years ago and that I keep…

A bittersweet day – North Lakes Family Photographer
On this day 24 years ago, my Mum passed away. She had been sick for some time and I was only 6 when it happened. For anyone else who has lost a family member, you’ll know how surreal the experience is. It can be traumatizing for some as everyone deals with death differently. I don’t remember much about it all. I joke saying that my brain has switched off and locked all those feelings and memories away. Don’t get me wrong, I still function like a normal human being (whatever that is) but I have very few memories of my childhood prior to this date. Most of my memories are sparked…

Fun and love in North Lakes – Outdoor Portrait Photographer
North Lakes Portrait in the Afternoon Sun This fun loving couple had not long arrived in Australia when they booked in for their session and perfect timing too, Beatrice’s Mum had just arrived to visit them in their new homeland. We discussed a few different places for the session, by the beach, Redcliffe etc, but decided that as they have settled here in North Lakes, this would be the best place for some fantastic memories, right here by Lake Eden. Somewhere they can walk or drive past everyday. It is a pretty awesome spot too, especially in the glowing afternoon sun! I hope you guys settle into Australian life and…

Caporale Family – North Lakes Studio Portrait
Studio Family Portraits in North Lakes Twins Portrait Special Liz contacted me via facebook when we ran one of our Twins’ Promotion’s earlier this year. Of course I was after some fun photos of her identical twin girls together, but didn’t want their younger sister to be left our or the rest of the family, so we just had everyone come in! You can see some more our Twins images on Twins Feature Gallery We had a fun session and the girls were so mature and cooperative, we got do take so many different images and groupings with them all, finishing with my favourite… the confetti! Although outdoor sessions are…
