Family of three fun outdoor portrait
It was a beautiful afternoon down at the shores of Lake Samsonvale and we had a blast chasing little Violet around the park. It took some cajoling to get her started but by the end of the session Mum and Dad managed to squeeze her in for some nice family close ups and the all important images of her with mum and her with dad. Â I just love this cheeky face! And she looked adorable in that little denim jacket too. Well done mum on the outfit. You all looked great, but Violet totally rocked the look as the weather was just that little bit cooler. A…

Candid-Fun-Natural-Relaxed-Family Portrait
It was a fresh morning down at Mungarra Reserve for this generations outdoor family portrait with three generations. With the girls all grown up it had been a while since the Woolston family had their family portrait and with Grandma there from the older generation it was a lovely time to photograph them. These beautiful girls were all smiled during the session and made my job easy. I just loved their portraits together and with mum. I just loved to get the three generations with all the girls, especially now that they are all grown up. Once we had done the generations portraits we then focused on the photos for…

Generations Portrait Lake Samsonvale
It was a cool afternoon out by Lake Samsonvale but a spectacular sunset for our generation family portrait with Grandma, her son and daughter in law and of course the grand-kids… two energetic boys! The two boys were full of energy and we spent the afternoon running around after them… nothing I’m not used to doing however for other clients and when my own two boys were the same age. We did manage to get the two boys to sit together for just a brief minute and got this lovely moment when big brother gave out a little hug. BAC Favourite image: I actually have 2 favourite images… the family…

Family of Three Fun North Lakes Portrait
Happy Anniversary! When Micheal phoned me he wanted to organise a family portrait for his family (wife and 3 year old daughter) for their upcoming 10th wedding anniversary. How perfect! As they are a local family too, we chose a great spot down at Lake Eden that is perfect for morning session and headed down for some fun. Young Everly was a delight and we had lots of fun, spinning, throwing, swooshing and kissing throughout the session… all those things you need to do to keep a 3 year old engaged and smiling! We started the session down on the little wooden bridge and then head up to a…

Love is in the air – Couples Portrait
Couples Portrait in North Lakes Woodland I love this location and if it hasn’t been raining and the mozzies stay away it is perfect… and it was this day. Just a few, not too many. Andy was keen for some fun so I had him picking Amy up (threshold style) and piggy backs too… it was a full on work out for him! The light was just lovey there in the trees and as we were on our way back to the car and almost out of the woods, the sun just poked through and I shouted STOP! Amy jumped up for a piggy back and that there was one…

Fun Beach Family Portrait at Red Beach
Family of 4 with 2 children’s Bribie Island Portrait Leanne wanted a fun portrait on the beach with her family, husband and late teen children. When we booked in the session, I was super excited as I love this spot on Bribie Island! On the day it was a bit windy and we therefore started in and around the trees where it was sheltered. This also give variety to the session (so that it is not all on the beach). We used the beach path first and then the fabulous looking beach track, then the sun drenched trees and then finally out on the beach, under the trees first and…

Newell Family Portrait on their Macadamia Farm
In home portrait, or on the land… so to speak I was really excited when I organised this family portrait with the Newell’s. It was to be on their property up a Beerwah, which just happens to be the family business too… a Macadamia Farm. What a beautiful setting it was too. With the best time of day for outdoor portraits being the last 1-2 hours before sunset, that’s of course when we organised it. The first date was rained off with a big storm (thank you Queensland weather), so we re-scheduled it in and hooray, the weather was kind. We had worried that the sun might not even come…

Family Photography Brisbane – Javernig Family
Nudgee Waterhole Reserve Family Portrait I first met Dani through an organisation called Mummy’s wish. Dani was going through breast cancer and we organised to do some photos for her and her twin girls through the charity. Several years later and cancer free, Dani got back in touch with me to update their family photos and to make another film. This time a film just for the girls with the hope of playing it at their 21st birthday in years to come. It is totally from the heart, with a Mum’s hopes and dreams for her girls, her love for them all laid bare in this film to them. I…

A surprise for Julie – Petire Family Portrait
Mungarra Reserve Family Portrait I love surprises and this was a great one! Julie’s friend Anne contacted me wanting to organise a portrait session for her friends birthday. We meet up in the studio with Anne’s 3 boys (plus 1 girlfriend)… all grown up now and organised it all. On the day, Julie thought they were going for a nice afternoon picnic but then I appeared with my camera to update the family photo album for them. And what a beautiful album we put together too. It was a fun shoot out at Petrie’s Mungarra Reserve, a spot that some friends put me onto years ago and that I keep…
