Bribie Island Family Portrait and Film – Bribie Photographer and Videographer
Bribie Island Family Portrait Beach Family Portrait and Family Lifestyle Film It was a beautiful morning on Bribie Island. The sun was shinning, the sky was blue and this beautiful family just had fun, fun, fun on the beach! I have met this family before too. It doesn’t seem that long ago we first met, although it was over 2 years I think when we got together for a family portrait and cake smash for Max who had just turned 1. Then they called to tell me that bub number 6 was on the way and could we get some photos… so we did and a little movie to boot…

Photography Location Guide: Your Place!
This is the last post in a series designed to give you the low-down on a few of my favourite locations to shoot, from the sand to the studio and in between. I can’t believe we’re at the end already! Previously, I posted about Lake Eden (you can find the link to that blog post here), North Lakes Woodlands (you can find the link to that blog post here), Brisbane City Botanic Gardens (you can find the link to that one here!), Crest Park at Bribie Island (that link is here), and Shorncliffe (link), and Suttons Beach at Redcliffe (link), and the BAC Studio (link), and this final location is perhaps the…

A new family – Maternity and Newborn Family Film
Well, one of the last sessions that I will be blogging for the year, it my best friend and her husband as they welcome a their daughter into the world. It’s because she’s a friend she know’s that I will take a while to get her photos done, as I prioritise my clients… not that I don’t love her, but she also knows I will get there in the end. Now, if you’re thinking that is looks cold, especially in the maternity portrait, that’s because it was! Kate and Greg live in Canberra and I left my family twice this year to go and visit them, once while they were…

Brisbane Photographer – Family Lifestyle Film
I hate cancer. It started when I was young. My mum had cancer and died way to soon…. It’s because of this that I volunteer for an organisation called Mummy’s Wish. This amazing charity helps mum’s with young families that are going through cancer. A couple of times a year, I do a shoot with a family that is going through this trauma and this is how I met Dani. She has an aggressive breast cancer and in the last few days has undergone an double mastectomy. Before the op however, I had the chance one afternoon to meet her and her beautiful girls and capturing them spending some time…

Sleepy Baby Boy – Stafford Heights Newborn Photographer
This beautiful little boy was just a dream to photograph… he actually slept the whole way through his session and despite our best efforts wake him so that we could just get a few images with his eyes open, he refused! This was another fusion portrait session too. These are my favourite! Where I not only capture some beautiful images for your walls, but also some precious video combined to make a stunning movie. Here are some of the images we took and if you scroll down you’ll see the movie at the bottom, I love the last scene where we had a few out takes when trying to include…

Homeward Bound – Brisbane Botanical Gardens Photographer
Very sadly, I may never see this sweet little family again, but it was a pleasure to have met and photographed them. They are from America and had been living in Brisbane for 18 months and the day following our session, they were returning home. They called me to get some family photos in the Botanical Gardens to remind them of the time they had here. I hope this will give them some long lasting memories of a city that we both love!

Suttons Beach Hoorah – Redcliffe Family Photographer
So one day I had a call from this guy who was looking for a present for his mum’s birthday from him and his brother. How awesome for two young men to think of such a present. When we booked in the date for the session, Sue (the Mum) told me that the last proper family portrait they had done was when the boys were very young and as beautiful as it still is, it was of course a little out of date now that the boys had all grown up. Rather than the studio session that they had once had done, we decided on a session down at the…

Family Fun Portrait – Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens Photographer
I have been to the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens plenty of times with my family, but never for a family portrait, so I was really excited when I booked in with this beautiful family for a session there. We didn’t stay in one place, but spent our time roaming around the gardens stopping on the way to play and see all the awesome things they have there. I had such a great time, I just can’t wait to book in another photography session (or fusion photography session there soon)!

One Year Again – Old Petrie Town Family Portrait Photographer
I meant to post these yesterday in time for Mother’s Day! Oh well… here they are now. This is the last session for Miss Gabby who is now 1 year old. I have followed both her and her sister since they were born and it has been an absolute pleasure to be part of this families life and to photograph the girls at various stages throughout their first year! It was a beautiful afternoon at Old Petrie Town, however young Gabby was sick in the car on the way and had to change out of the beautiful dress she had on that matched her sisters… lucky mum had a spare…
