Nudgee Waterhole Reserve Family Portrait

Family portrait by the lake in the Nudgee wetlandsI first met Dani through an organisation called Mummy’s wish. Dani was going through breast cancer and we organised to do some photos for her and her twin girls through the charity.

Several years later and cancer free, Dani got back in touch with me to update their family photos and to make another film. This time a film just for the girls with the hope of playing it at their 21st birthday in years to come.

It is totally from the heart, with a Mum’s hopes and dreams for her girls, her love for them all laid bare in this film to them.

I actually love this so much, it is something I want to do for my own boys.

I had never photographed a session down at the Nudgee Waterhole Reserve but have to say what a beautiful spot it is. We started by the rugby club and walked through the wetlands over bridges and along boardwalks, all the way around the lake and then back to the start again. It was just magical there!

I had an amazing afternoon with the family, creating their images and ultimately the film for the girls. Get the tissues ready if you get a bit emotional while you watch.
