Ideal Brisbane Family Portrait Location for Afternoon Park and Beach Fun

Just down the road from us in North Lakes is the beautiful Scarborough Beach. I have had the pleasure of shooting here a couple of times and love the location for family and pet portraits.

Access & Parking  ★★★★

This location is very easy to get too and parking here is no problem at either end of the beach. The biggest problem is making sure we park and meet in the same car park. There is easy access for those.

Amenities ★★★★★

This North Brisbane Portrait location has great amenities. There are toilets on site, drinking fountains, BBQ’s and picnic benches, plus there is a great selection of shops and café’s across the road and a fantastic playground for the kids to play when our session is finished too.

Best time of day for your session ★★★

This location is great for afternoon sessions, sadly there is not enough shade there in the morning. The afternoon however is great whatever the weather, sun, cloud or even stormy skies look amazing on the beach. With all our afternoon session, we recommend starting approximately 1 hour before sunset to get the best of the light. The only minor downfall at this location are the crowds. It is a very popular spot but it is also big enough to find a quite place away from people too.

4. Out of the beach… just stunning in the late afternoon.

You can’t beat the look of the beach here in the late afternoon sun with the magnificent fur trees lining the foreshore area.

In Summary

This location is great for family and pet portraits, couples portraits and even large group or generation portraits. This spot is also ideal for those who may not be steady on their feet with easy paths all the way along the beachfront.
