Newborn portrait with Milly the Labrador When Samantha got in touch to book her newborn session, she really wanted something outdoors and to include their first child (so to speak) their Labrador Milly. We arranged a session for Lake Samsonvale nice and early in the morning with Grandma coming along to help with the dog during the session. On the morning of it was overcast, but no rain forecast, so I set off for the lake. As I arrived, it was pouring down! Couple Portrait with Jack Russells
Samantha and Brett had not long moved over from South Africa with their two Jack Russell dogs, Lexi and Lina when we began to organise their session at our North Lakes Portrait Studio. We had a small delay on the session after on the of the dogs was injured one day. We decided to wait for the fur to grow back over again, so she would be looking her best for the session. These two girls were full of energy and it wasn’t until right at the end of the session (when they were exhausted from running around) that we finally got the two of them to stay still together……

I was so delighted when Demmy messaged me to say she was booking in for her newborn session!!! I had photographed her and hubby the year before with their fur babies Indy and Bear the German Shepherds. I just love including pets in my portraits, especially dogs and so when she said they would be bringing the dogs to the newborn session too, I couldn’t be happier. The more the merrier! The dogs were so protective and inquisitive of the new family member and just like my own kids I know baby Sofia will just grow to love her fur siblings. There are so many photos I love form this…
