It took us a little while to get the session organized, Christine lost her husband the year before and really wanted to get a portrait of all the children. With 4 adult children you can imagine it would be difficult to be able to find a time that everyone was available.

Christine lived over on Russel Island and I was so excited to be able to travel out to the island to meet at the family home. It was the first time I have ever been on the ferry to explore the beautiful islands and I was grateful to get the opportunity to. It was such an experience and the view from the ferry was a real testament of the beauty of Brisbane and what it has to offer.

The O’Connor property offered beautiful bush land and the wooden rustic vibes of the front of the house made for an awesome background for a full family shot.

We moved on down to the waterfront to capture the real essence of island living.

The late afternoon light really made for some great portraits and of course we needed to make sure we had shots of each of the kids with their Mum.

It’s often rare to be able to get all adult children in one place, so we definitely took advantage of the opportunity.

It wouldn’t be a complete session without a few great shots of Christine’s Fur baby. And what a majestic puppy he was.

Overall, it was such a beautiful and moving session for Christine, to have all the adult kids in a portrait for the first time since they were teenagers, and I really loved the ferry over and back and got to enjoy the beautiful sunset on my way home!
