Photography Location Guide: Your Place!
This is the last post in a series designed to give you the low-down on a few of my favourite locations to shoot, from the sand to the studio and in between. I can’t believe we’re at the end already! Previously, I posted about Lake Eden (you can find the link to that blog post here), North Lakes Woodlands (you can find the link to that blog post here), Brisbane City Botanic Gardens (you can find the link to that one here!), Crest Park at Bribie Island (that link is here), and Shorncliffe (link), and Suttons Beach at Redcliffe (link), and the BAC Studio (link), and this final location is perhaps the…

A new family – Maternity and Newborn Family Film
Well, one of the last sessions that I will be blogging for the year, it my best friend and her husband as they welcome a their daughter into the world. It’s because she’s a friend she know’s that I will take a while to get her photos done, as I prioritise my clients… not that I don’t love her, but she also knows I will get there in the end. Now, if you’re thinking that is looks cold, especially in the maternity portrait, that’s because it was! Kate and Greg live in Canberra and I left my family twice this year to go and visit them, once while they were…

Ashely and Shaun’s Stormy Wedding – Bundaleer Gardens Wedding Photographer
It was a stifling hot day as the girls were getting ready. The fan’s were going, the aircon was going and still it was HOT! By the time I met the boys at the beautiful Bundaleer Gardens though, the storm clouds had gathered overhead and the treat of rain and or a storm was in the air. All the guests were checking the weather sites to see what was happening. No it’s fine, they said, no rain here, they said. As the bride arrived in the car, the thunder started to rumble and as the bridesmaids walked down the isle the lightening started to crack. Still we carried on. Not…

Matt and Andrea’s Day – Redcliffe Wedding Photographer and Videographer
I met this couple when the first booked their photography with us last year and had the pleasure of meeting them again when we did an Engagement session for them at the Botanic Gardens in Redcliffe. At the time of booking I was just doing Wedding Photography but as some know, we now do wedding videography and I said to my husband the night before how much easier it seems these days prepping for just wedding photography, not photography and videography together… well! The following morning I got a message from Andrea to say that due to unfortunate circumstances, their videographer could not make it and couldn’t find a replacement,…

Ivy’s Birthday Party – Sunshine Coast Event Photographer
This lucky little girl and her family won an awesome prize when the entered a competition! The prize was a fully catered party! The food, the entertainer and I was hired to photograph and document the event also. It was a pretty cool Mini Mouse themed do, all set up by Ezy Kids Parties which also included Mini herself (well the entertainer dressed as Mini). Mini cake, Mini face paint, the list goes on. There was a super cool jumping castle (which I’m sure the adults went on the kids were finished), fancy bubbles, craft and colouring and the face painting and balloon animals. The kids were a little overwhelmed…
