Newborn Twins with their big brother – North Lakes Newborn Studio
Twins in the Studio Big Brother Jameson could not be more proud of his new little brother and sister, despite the fact that I am sure they are occupying a lot of Mum’s time these days. Once we had some family photos and photos of our proud big brother, Dad took him to the park, while Mum and I focused on just some photos and video of the twins, Jordan and Jillian. I commented on how many names in their house that started with the letter J and how much fun that would be in the future with mail etc… mind you, I am not sure how much more mail…

Little Lily – North Lakes Newborn Portraits
Newborn Studio Portraits – North Lakes Little Lily, plus Mum and Dad came into the studio when she was exactly 2 weeks old. To start with she was happy to stay awake, even as we did some photos with Mum and Dad. It wasn’t until the end of her session, she finally fell asleep. Either way for me, I love having photos with eyes open and closed. Little ones just look adorable to me whether they are awake or asleep and Lily here is no exception. It was such a delight to not only photograph this family, but create a film for them too. Be sure to scroll down and…

A bittersweet day – North Lakes Family Photographer
On this day 24 years ago, my Mum passed away. She had been sick for some time and I was only 6 when it happened. For anyone else who has lost a family member, you’ll know how surreal the experience is. It can be traumatizing for some as everyone deals with death differently. I don’t remember much about it all. I joke saying that my brain has switched off and locked all those feelings and memories away. Don’t get me wrong, I still function like a normal human being (whatever that is) but I have very few memories of my childhood prior to this date. Most of my memories are sparked…

Four Generations – Redcliffe Family Photographer
Redcliffe Botanic Gardens Extended Family Portrait It was a beautiful but very hot day for our session in the Redcliffe Botanic Gardens. Pretty as the spot was however, mozzie spray was a must after all the recent rain we had and a change of shoes too! This was a special shoot for Valerie who was having a milestone Birthday celebration and Jenny (her daughter) thought it was a great idea to get the 4 generations of women together for some photos prior to their lunch date. One of Valerie’s little grandson’s, came along for the session and we couldn’t help but get a few photos with him in too.

Little Clara – North Brisbane Newborn Photographer
Beautiful Little Newborn 2 Week Old Newborn When Jodie (Mum) contacted me regarding this newborn session, I knew right away that I had to make an amazing video for them! This beautiful little girl is the second child in this family, but tragically her older brother was stillborn, before her time of course and I can’t imagine the heartache they felt. I had an eptopic pregnancy and didn’t even know I was pregnant until it was too late, but I can’t image having carried around someone for so many months, only to loose them at the end and not bring them home. It is amazing once it happens to you,…

Fur Babies – North Lakes Portrait Photographer
Pet Portrait Fur Babies A Bulldog and her best friend! Families come in all shapes and sizes and sometimes children have 4 legs not 2! Meet Rocco and Luna! OMG They are so adorable. Just look at them posing there on the bench. Bows and Bow Ties on. Just loved them. Of course we used a bit of good and pats and fun to get some of these shots, but so worth it! Once we did some photos in the studio, we headed down the park at the end of the street for some outdoor fun. Poor Luna was exhausted. She lay down at any opportunity! Rocco on the other…

Family Fun in the Park – North Lakes Outdoor Portrait
North Lakes Outdoor Family Portrait Family of Five Three Gorgeous Kids This super fun and energetic family live right across the road, so when they wanted to update their family portrait we literally walked to the park at the end of the street. That’s the awesome thing about North Lakes. There are part at the end or nearby most streets, so you never have to go far and I absolutely love ours in the late afternoon sun! These kids are the life of the party and keep mum and dad on their toes… especially Charlie. Little Miss cute with the pony tail up top. It was after she turned 1…

Fun and love in North Lakes – Outdoor Portrait Photographer
North Lakes Portrait in the Afternoon Sun This fun loving couple had not long arrived in Australia when they booked in for their session and perfect timing too, Beatrice’s Mum had just arrived to visit them in their new homeland. We discussed a few different places for the session, by the beach, Redcliffe etc, but decided that as they have settled here in North Lakes, this would be the best place for some fantastic memories, right here by Lake Eden. Somewhere they can walk or drive past everyday. It is a pretty awesome spot too, especially in the glowing afternoon sun! I hope you guys settle into Australian life and…

National Family Portrait Month – Mum and her beautiful kids
North Lakes Family Portrait Outdoor Family Portrait This was a great session, Mum with her four kids! They were great and super fun in the late afternoon sun here in North Lakes. Angela booked in as part on National Family Portrait Month (yes I know that was last year, but I am a little behind on my blogging – better late than never!) National Family Portrait Month, in case you haven’t seen it yest, has just had it’s third successful year, where a charity is selected and we raise money for them with photos. This year beyondblue was the nominated charity and over $30000 was raised. Back at the session,…

Sunshine Coast Family – Beach Portrait Photographer
Beach Family Portrait Fun on the Sunshine Coast Kelly booked us for National Family Portrait Month, but decided she also wanted to not only get some images of herself with the 3 kids but also a few family ones as well. We had an awesome time at Eleanor Shipley Park and on Moffat Beach on the Sunshine Coast! We started the session off in the small rainforest areas at the end of the park and then migrated down onto the beach. The sun wasn’t shinning as such but we had some awesome clouds… yes that was their real colour too. All our images are now submitted for National Family Portrait…
