Couple Portrait with Jack Russells
Samantha and Brett had not long moved over from South Africa with their two Jack Russell dogs, Lexi and Lina when we began to organise their session at our North Lakes Portrait Studio. We had a small delay on the session after on the of the dogs was injured one day. We decided to wait for the fur to grow back over again, so she would be looking her best for the session. These two girls were full of energy and it wasn’t until right at the end of the session (when they were exhausted from running around) that we finally got the two of them to stay still together……

Leah & Stephen engagement portrait
Leah and Stephen were just so happy together… and why shouldn’t they be, there were engaged to be married. Leah had done some modelling work before and had the perfect spot for their portrait that just happened to be at the end of their street. The sun was just beautiful in the afternoon here as we weaved in and out of the bushes and brush creating their engagement portraits. Congratulations to you both, I wish you many happy years together.= xx

Mako Family in the studio
When Orry phoned me to enquire about a family portrait, he told me it had been years since the last one and they kids were only little. I just loved that after all these years and before they up and fly the nest, that they updated the family portrait. Danielle had a spot on the wall for the image she wanted with the Demin and white studio look. Like every portrait we do some candid portraits and some posed, and update the images of mum with the kids and dad with the kids and the kids together. It’s always fun to do the ‘girls’ photo and ‘boys’ photo too. BAC…

Love is in the air – Couples Portrait
Couples Portrait in North Lakes Woodland I love this location and if it hasn’t been raining and the mozzies stay away it is perfect… and it was this day. Just a few, not too many. Andy was keen for some fun so I had him picking Amy up (threshold style) and piggy backs too… it was a full on work out for him! The light was just lovey there in the trees and as we were on our way back to the car and almost out of the woods, the sun just poked through and I shouted STOP! Amy jumped up for a piggy back and that there was one…

Two German Shepherds and a couple in love – North Brisbane Studio Portraits
I was excited about this portrait from the moment I spoke to Demmy! She told me how her and Stephen were not long married but that they would love to have some photos with their fur babies, two German Shepherd called Indie and Bear. I know some people say to never work with children or animals, but I have to say that these sessions are my favourite. Not only could I not stop laughing as the big dog Bear, took a fancy to my aptly names Princess Couch but I just loved watching Demmy and Stephen play with their beautiful dogs and as they warmed to me too, played and…

Fun and love in North Lakes – Outdoor Portrait Photographer
North Lakes Portrait in the Afternoon Sun This fun loving couple had not long arrived in Australia when they booked in for their session and perfect timing too, Beatrice’s Mum had just arrived to visit them in their new homeland. We discussed a few different places for the session, by the beach, Redcliffe etc, but decided that as they have settled here in North Lakes, this would be the best place for some fantastic memories, right here by Lake Eden. Somewhere they can walk or drive past everyday. It is a pretty awesome spot too, especially in the glowing afternoon sun! I hope you guys settle into Australian life and…
