Molly Tulip Formal

Lake Eden North Lakes

Molly and her family were once neighbours of ours. We have lived in the same house for quite some time. When the house behind us sold, Molly and her family came along. I became great friends with Molly’s mum Jill, so when Molly’s formal came around, she asked me to do the photography to mark the occasion.

When planning the session, Jill mentioned that Molly’s boyfriend would be attending. Fate played a part when we realised that Molly’s boyfriend was from a gorgeous family that I had been photographing for years.

We had done numerous sessions for a lovely lady named Jill and she has two sons, one of whom is Locke. And Locke is Molly’s boyfriend. Talk about small world and six degrees of separation. It was meant to be!

We held the session down at Lake Eden where the kids from Lakes Collage were getting ready for their special night. The day was a little overcast, but we didn’t let that bother us as we got ready for some amazing shots.

Lake Eden is one of our tried and tested locations that was the perfect spot to showcase Molly’s formal. You can check out more of our Northside locations HERE!

Mum and Dad were proud as punch of their beautiful daughter. Molly was a Goddess in her gorgeous backless, mermaid style ice blue gown. Her hair was artfully styled with crystal and pearl accents. Not to mention the age-old tradition of her tasteful baby’s breath corsage. She was just perfect!

All the kids were so beautiful and full of youthful exuberance! We took some great images of a few smaller groups and the girls in pairs and then it was the boys turn. We got all the girls together for a massive group shot on the little jetty that juts out on the Lake.

The kids were being taken to their formal in style. They all piled in one after the other into the stretch Hummer that was so impressive and seated 18.

I felt really blessed to be able to share this important occasion with Molly, her family, and friends. I am super proud of her and the amazing woman that she has become and Jill and Andy for raising such a beautiful soul. Watching her grow throughout the years and seeing her celebrate such an important occasion was really special for me.

My favourite image of the day would have to be the upshot of the happy couple, which showcases Molly’s beautiful dress to perfection.
