Huxleys newborn portrait with big sister
It was great to see Olive back in the studio… it wasn’t that long ago we had Olive in for a family portrait with Mum and Dad, this time she was with her new baby brother Huxley. Although it took some convincing, we did eventually get some photos with the two of them together:) For the session, the family brought in a blanket that they wanted to use and I was more than happy to oblige and love the colour! Families favourite image: The two kids together BAC Favourite image: The last one, full body shot of Huxley on the green rug

Fun family portrait Shorncliffe Beach
We booked Frances and her family in for a portrait down at Shorncliffe by the beach and the weather that day did not disappoint! We had lots of fun the with kids, running and jumping around. We started up on the grass, then headed onto the beach as the sun slowly went down in the afternoon. This session was special to me too! It was the first one we did a vlog for. What’s a vlog you ask? It’s a behind the scene video captured during the session of the family having their portraits. I had my 2 videographers (my two boys) who came along and captured the footage for…

Ayvan Newborn Portrait – North Lakes Studio
What a beautiful newborn session. Ayvan made my job easy (He almost slept through the whole session), as did big sister Aanya! It was so lovely to capture images of them together. She was so caring and careful with her new baby brother. We of course captured some beautiful family images with them all together, some with mum and then with dad. Then we did some images of just Ayvan and I was super happy to use the new heart shaped prop. The family ordered one of our 30×12″ framed wall storyboards! I love these. They tell the story of your session and come framed and ready to hang on…

Couples maternity portrait – Shorncliffe
It was a beautiful afternoon down at Shorncliffe for Alana and Luke’s maternity portrait. I brought some dresses with me but thought Alana looked stunning in the navy blue top she wore to the session, so we started off the session with that. Then when we moved round the the park, we changed her into one of our Olivia dresses in light blue. Then it was down onto the beach for the rest of the session for some couples portraits and some of this glowing mum to be on her own. Couples favourite image: Couples close up in the navy blue top BAC Favourite: Front on close up of Alana…

Baby Seth North Lakes Newborn Portrait
When Shanyn came in for their newborn portrait, she said she didn’t want to be in the photos.. “just of Seth’ she said. I asked if she was sure and she said yes. So once fed and settled we began the session and Seth slept nearly the whole time! Nearing the end I asked again if they wanted any family portraits. They will be just close ups of faces and Seth. This time she agreed and I am so glad she did! Not only do I love the photos of them with their little boy but they loved them too. BAC Favourite Photo: The family shot with Mum, Dad and…

Growing Family Maternity Portrait Brisbane
We had a great time in the studio with Rebecca and her little family… soon to be expanded family! Elijah was super cute although sometimes more interested in his toys than Mum’s tummy and his new, soon to be sibling. I was so happy to use the new blue maternity gown. I have this same dress in champagne and pink but this was the first time to be using the blue and it went great with the boys in their jeans and white tops. We also used the stunning black lace gown which always looks stunning on the grey backdrop.

Three sisters at Shorncliffe Beach
Roy got in touch to have this three beautiful daughters photographed. The school holidays were the easiest time with school and weekend activities making other times difficult. We opted for a morning session at Shorncliffe which I love. It is always fresh beautiful down there and the weather didn’t disappoint with a stunning Queensland winters day! We got some beautiful photos of the three girls together and then some fun individual ones too. BAC Favourite Image: The jumping photo of course! The girls had great fun at the session and the jumping photos was the families favourite photo too.

Haskin Family Portrait – Deception Bay Woodland
Justine choose one of my favourite local locations spots, Deception Bay Woodlands. It’s a forest area in a little pocket of Deception Bay that backs onto North Lakes. I love it here for the variety but also the quiet. You get very few people coming along here… just the odd local who knows this little path is there. We started with some family shots along the treeline and then headed down to the little stream where the sun really peaks through the trees. Then to finish a walk down the beautiful woodland lane. BAC Favourite Image: Little Hannah facing the camera white Mum and Dad look onto her
