Newborn Baby Boy

This gorgeous healthy baby boy was born late on Christmas Eve, yes Christmas Eve! Grateful that it was not Christmas day, we booked for their newborn session at the beginning of January, just 14 days after he entered the world.

He was just a delight and such a precious easy bub. Happy and content and always hungry for food.

We started, as I often do, on the white rug with a little outfit and those wide open eyes, then wrapped him up for some more portraits with just him and then family. Bub with mum, bub with dad and of course the all important ‘first family portrait’ these are often my favourite!

The first time people have their official professional family portrait is a bit of a milestone in itself. Especially in this day and age, when the selfie rules, it’s so important to have a nice family portrait with everyone in. The kind of photo that the baby in the photo will look back on in years to come.

Once we finished the family photos, I took some in the white box and then lastly on the blue rug on the beanbag. He even gave us a wee smile (so cute) and all those little details shots that I love with the hands, feet and a close up of the face.
