Dorji Newborn Session

Every year BAC Photography attends the Baby Fair or Expo in Brisbane. During last year’s Hey There Baby Fair, at the Exhibition Centre, we crossed paths for the first time with Supin and Sonam. When we attend the baby shows, we like to have an exclusive offer for expectant and new mums. Last year the Dorji family took advantage of our exclusive offer.

On the day of the session, I was blessed to meet their beautiful baby boy named Davin who was approximately 7-8 weeks old at the time. Normally 8-week-old babies are awake in most of the sessions, but the little angel was asleep when they arrived, and he really seemed to want to stay that way.

Mum and Dad brought along the cute little bowtie outfit, and little Davin didn’t even wake up when we changed his outfit. We did everything from taking his nappy off, to switching to his birthday suit, but he was a super sleepy bub for most of the shoot. That did not stop him from being a little superstar though. He must have been having the sweetest dreams because he smiled for some special shots.

It was great to spend time with each other and take advantage of the time we had together. Mum brought along several cute little outfits, and even a little Christmas one so she would have Christmas images for friends and family once the season came along. Little Davin woke up just in time to show his Christmas spirit.

Our fully equipped studio, situated at North Lakes, has a great variety of outfits, little beanie and bonnets and props, that add creativity to our sessions. Different colour backgrounds, rugs, blankets and wraps that are on hand, allow your one session to have a huge variety of images to choose from.

Having a new little baby can be a real adjustment and often parents can come to a session not feeling 100%. Mum and Dad were not planning on being a part of the session but after a little encouragement we were able to get some really sweet shots of them all together.

My favourite images would have to be little Davin on the beautiful blue background and wrapped up tight like a snug little bub.
