Musical Couples Portrait

Spectacular Musical in home couples portrait in Albany Creek

I don’t get them often, but every now and then someone requests an in home portrait session and so long as they are within the Brisbane area, I am happy to oblige.

I discussed the session for Graeme and his wife at length and even went out to their beautiful home prior to the session to check the lighting was good etc.

How excited was I to arrive and see the Grand Piano that we had discussed on the phone! As a piano player myself… a little bit of jealousy came in, although not only do I not have the space for a Grand Piano myself, I also cannot play well enough to do such a marvellous instrument justice.

Scottish colour portrait

When it came to the session Cathy looked so elegant in her blue cocktail dress but I’m afraid Graeme stole the show (in my book) with his Kilt… a full Bonnie Prince Charlie get up, complete with his bagpipes… being married to a Scotsman myself… I do love a man in a kilt.

We did some portraits of them both together and then individually. Cathy sitting at her piano and Graeme with his bagpipes.

We then finished off the session with a few nice photos out in the garden.

Black and white piano

This was a fairly memorable session for me and I hope that they enjoyed it as much as I did.

Their favourite photo: Full length of Cathy sitting by the piano and Graeme’s hand on her shoulder holding his bagpipes.

BAC Favourite: Cathy at the piano from the back of this magnificent instrument with all the strings and hammers exposed
