Bribie Island Maternity Portrait and combined Newborn Portrait in our North Lakes Studio

Thalia and Brad booked in a Maternity Portrait and when they did, I suggested that not only could we capture their excitement of the new baby but we could create a film! You know how much I love making my family films.

We had chosen Bribie Island for our Maternity Portrait and on the day, the rain kept coming through in squalls and we spoke several times on the phone trying to decide if we could still go ahead. Obviously not having time on our side with the little one due soon, we decided to go for it. When I pulled up in the car park it was pouring but I could see a break on the horizon, so we sat it out in the car and sure enough, the rain stopped, the clouds dispersed and had 45 minutes of dry weather, with a hint of sun… long enough to get both their photos and video done and as we headed for the car, the rain came on again. Perfect timing!

Soon after little Olivia Grace arrived! How precious she is. Again we did photos and film, only this time it was in our North Lakes Studio. Clearly little Olivia was too excited to be in this world and in our studio that she wanted to stay awake nearly the whole session! I do love it when baby is awake but it’s great if we can get them asleep too… well we did get both for the family and I am so happy for this lovely couple and their new family.

I loved creating these first memories and hope that I will see them all again as we watch her grow.
