Outdoor Newborn session

Outdoor Newborn session in the stunning field of dreams

When we organised Tanae’s newborn portrait, I was super excited that she wanted it to be an outdoor newborn session! I had not done one for a while, so was looking forward to it again.

We choose the ‘field of dreams’ location for an afternoon portrait at sunset. As it was winter and quite cool at that time of day, my main priority was making sure little Charlotte was warm enough in the cool air.

I wrapped her up in one of our soft grey wraps with another layer underneath and then we also used a white wrap that the family had brought.

It was a busy afternoon up at the field of dreams. The long grass style shoots against the afternoon sun proving very popular these days with families alike.

We found our own little spot under a small tree to start and then headed a bit further down the track as it quietened off closer to the sunset… which is my favourite time.

I especially love the photos of Charlotte in the in the basket I brought in the long grass and the family silhouette.

Family favourite: With Charlotte in Dad’s arms, mum and dad looking at each other, the long grass in the background and the warm glow of the sun going down.

BAC Favourite photo: From above, black and white image, looking down at mum and dad, in the long grass, looking at their gorgeous girl
