Footy Family Portrait

Footy mad family portrait – Nudgee wetland reserve

I love props! I only carry a small amount and mostly let the personality of the family shine and in this case, that was pretty easy! Footy mad would be an understatement and I just loved that they all had their own shirts and brought the ball as well. It made for some definite fun during the session.

We started with some simple posed family portraits and got more and more candid as we went, throwing the footy around and just getting everyone a bit more relaxed. I loved the kick and chase and the throwing of the ball and as they just had a jersey on each, it was super easy take them off and back to their black and white combo again.

With the kids relaxed we went for a jumping photo and of course, no family portrait is complete without the four legged family member. Jools, the staffy, was just happy to be out and about with all the family and we got some super cute photos of her with the kids.

At the end of the shoot, it was quite hot, so she took herself off into the bushes to sit and cool down. It was like she was posing. Just in the long grassy, tongue hanging out, looking up at me like, ‘how’s this for a shot Belinda?’

Family outdoor portrait

This was a super fun session, between the kids all at fun ages, Jools the puppy and the footy shirts, we had a great time making some memories for this family.
