Sandra has chosen one of my favourite spots for her family portrait, Shorncliffe.
We had planned out an afternoon session, the forecast was good. I had a morning session the same day and the weather was beautiful but as I stepped out of the office to head down to Shorncliffe, I noticed that clouds had gathered, the sky was grey and the wind was almost howling.
Thankfully it did not look like rain but the wind was going to be an issue.
As I parked up it was pretty clear that the park and jetty side that I usually used down there was not an option, so I shot around the corner as if walking back to Sandgate…. Calm! Phew, it was perfectly out of the wind.
So out of the cold afternoon whirlwind, we protected ourselves around the corner and even to our luck we had the sun join us, peeking through the clouds towards the end of our session. A great little spot for those days when the weather doesn’t do what you had planned but beautiful location still for this beautiful little family.
