Most people in Brisbane know where the jetty at Shorncliffe is. It’s an iconic landmark here in Brisbane and very popular for walkers, families, picnics, swimmers and is great for wedding and portrait photography.

Access & Parking ★★★★

Moora Park is the official name of the area here… the fantastic wooden playground. Easy to find off the highway the biggest problem here at the weekend is parking. There is a bottom car park right next to the jetty but it can often be full, so the parking at the top of the hill is a safer bet

This North Brisbane Portrait location has great amenities. There are toilets on site, drinking fountains, BBQ’s and picnic benches, You can sometimes find a coffee cart of ice-cream van here and at the top of the hill is a little café and takeaway shop

Best time of day for your session ★★★★

This location is great for morning or afternoon sessions, whatever the weather, sun, cloud or even stormy skies look amazing on the beach. Morning sessions here are best before 10am and afternoon around an hour before sunset. The only problem here with afternoon sessions is the crowds! It gets really busy with people enjoying the afternoon sun and other people here also having their family or wedding portraits.

The best part about the variety of locations here is that because it is on a headland, if there is a bit of wind, you can head to one side or the other of the peninsula to get out it. These are some of the great options:
